We are happy to inform you that “Leo Talent Search 2010″ is scheduled to be held on 18th of April 2010, 8am at Hindu College Auditorium, Colombo – 04. On behalf of the organizing team we warmly welcome you all to witness the talents and excellent show of our Leos at one stage. It is not just a series of competitions, but includes fun events too. Note for the contestants and clubs: Please make sure to submit your confirmations before 14th Midnight as we informed you earlier. Late confirmations or submissions will not be allowed for the event. While you send your confirmation please let us know number of Leos attending from your club which could help us in organizing Lunch and other arrangements. Do not miss this rare opportunity to prove yourself.

• Only Leos can take part in competitions.
• Total Number of participants from each club and Total Leos from one district will be taken into consideration for choosing “Champions Club” and “Best District” respectively.

My Dear Leos,

I take this opportunity to thank Leo Club of Colombo City and Lions Club of Colombo City for joining hands with Leo District Council 306B2 in carrying out Christmas Party Celebration, a commemoration project which was successfully completed yesterday. We distributed soft toys,towels and importantly we enjoyed spending the evening with them yesterday. We served for more 100 children at the National Hospital, Colombo.

At this juncture specially I would like to appreciate the efforts put by Lion Kesawaraja MJF in making this event a success. I will fail in my duty if I do not commend the support given by Lion Nobert Fernando,Lion Kenedy and Lion Mano.

Further I am glad that my District Directors are serving with the passion by knowing their duty. Thank you Leo Hasini and Leo Faiz. I seek the same support from you. I actually felt that it is one family and I think the Lions too agree if I say that everyone of us yesterday we too spent the time as children and we were cherishing our old memories.

In addition I would like to thank the other club Leos for spending their valuable time to district in participating this project. Thank you Leo Thiru for your attendance with the busy schedule. I can see a lot of changes and eager to participate in all projects from Leos. That is great. Lets change and make history by having the theme “Vision to Victory”

Once again I express my heartfelt thanks to the organizing committee (Leos,Lions and District Council Directors) for making this project a reality.

Dear Friends,

It is with a great pleasure I would like to inform you that the Leo Walk which was organized as Multiple District Council project on 05th December 2009 (Sunday) in commemoration of 40 years of Leoism in Sri Lanka was completed successfully. It was a well organized and Leos from our district participated in large numbers.

I am happy to be as a District President of Leo District Council 306B2 and there are lot of more projects awaiting. In addition that the Leo District Council 306B2 was recognized for “The Highest Participation District” among other districts and Leo Club of Colombo Vivekananda College was recognized for “The Highest Participation Club”.

At this juncture I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every Leo who contributed to make this event a colourful and a memorable one. Further I would like to express my thanks to all the advisors and teachers in charge for helping me out to make this event a success.

My special thanks to Lion V Baskaran (Leo Advisor- Vivekananda College & Serendib Leo Club), Abarna (Teacher in Charge – St.Anne’s Leo Club) and Ms. Thayanithi Kanapathipillai (Teacher in Charge – Vivekananda College) for participating and motivating the Leos at the walk.

Once again it is a victory which was rewarded for our team work.

“Vision to Victory”

On-behalf of Multiple District Council 306 Leo Club of Colombo Plaza and Leo Club of Metro City are organizing Leo Walk in commemoration of Leoism in 40 years excellence in Sri Lanka.

It is a very important event to all Leos in Sri Lanka. I am looking forward your full participation from each club as we could march forward as a powerful District on that day.

Venue – From Mahanama College Colombo 3 to Lions Activity Centre Colombo 7

Let us show our District strength on 5th December.

• The club who brings highest number of participation will be awarded. (Note : one club will be selected among all clubs in Multiple). Think positive and I am sure you can be the club with the award.
• District 306B2 will also awards the club for the highest participation seperately. Are you ready to grab the award??

Dear Friends,

I am really very happy that we have organized the White Cane Safety Day Walk with the large number of participation. This is the first time that there were more than 250 visually handicapped people participated for the walk. In addition there were more than 50 Leos who took part to make this event a memorable one.

Leo District Council 306B2 distributed dry ration parcels for more than 125 visually handicapped people and balance packets were given by Lion Kumari who is a member of Lions Club of New Century.

I take this opportunity to thank Leos from Leo Club of Colombo Circle, Leo Club of Colombo Plaza, Leo Club of Metro City, Leo Club of Colombo City, Leo Club Biyagama North, Leo Club of Biyagama for taking part in this mega project. Further they also guide the visually handicapped people at the walk. Thank you for the support and your commitment towards Leoism.

At this juncture I also would like to thank our respected Multiple District President for your attendance today. It added more value to the project. Further I should thank Leo Nimal (District Secretary) who put immense effort on photography. I will fail in my duty if I do not appreciate the support given by Leo Thiru, Leo Eswari, Leo Faiz and other members.

Thank you for making this project a successful one. We did it by working as a team.

It is to announce and invite you that Leo District Council 306B2 is organizing a walk to commemorate White Canes Day on 18th October 2009 at 1p.m. onwards at 45/93, Nawala Road,Narahenpita, Colombo 05.
Therefore I look forward your participation to make this event a success and heart feeling one. Your participation gives more energetic to the district.

Visually Handicapped National women playing a vital role to develop social, cultural, economical situation on behalf of blind women in the society. Furthermore special attention paid in favor of little children who are schooling now and funding resolutions for the family disputes, conducting awareness programmes are similar programmes implementing there on.

Please be kind enough to inform all you members and bring your maximum partipation to this event. Your support is much more appreciated.
